Blood Bank
The Blood Bank at our facility plays a crucial role in serving all patients, including outpatients. Through a credit-debit system with other blood banks, we ensure a balanced supply of blood products. This cooperative arrangement helps manage excess availability and shortages effectively, supporting the urgent needs of numerous patients requiring blood transfusions.
Our Blood Bank strictly adheres to quality control measures to guarantee the safety and suitability of blood types provided after rigorous testing. Donated blood is processed into various components such as packed red cells, fresh frozen plasma, platelet concentrate, and cryoprecipitate, ensuring that a diverse range of blood products is readily available.
Encouraging voluntary blood donations is a constant effort at our Blood Bank. We conduct donor bleeding sessions daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., welcoming contributions from both patients and their relatives. This initiative helps maintain a steady supply of blood for patients in need.
Regular audits and inspections by regulatory authorities, such as the FDA, ensure that our Blood Bank complies with strict standards and protocols governing blood banking practices. These measures guarantee the highest levels of quality and safety in providing essential blood transfusion services to our patients.
